Our Inventory

The Cookery includes seating, 8 ft. rectangular tables, and barware for up to 200 guests in your rental package.  Clients may choose to utilize these items, or they may choose to rent different tables, chairs or glassware according to their particular tastes.  Clients hosting parties with more than 200 guests will need to rent additional items.

Hosts are required to provide linens according to the size specifications for the tables below.  These measurements ensure that all tables are fully covered and that linens reach the floor! Don't forget napkin rentals!

Please review the below list before booking your event needs to help save money on rentals passed on from your caterer or other vendors!

A/V Equipment

Below is a breakdown of the A/V for each room of The Cookery.

  • Front Room: We have a wireless microphone and 15’ diagonal HD projector screen available for your use. For events with up to 75 people there are in-house speakers with AUX cord for background/cocktail hour music only. Note: These speakers are meant for presentations, not for loud tunes or dancing.  

  • Courtyard: Two speakers are mounted in the courtyard that are part of the Front Room sound system. Note: These do not connect to the Ballroom Sonos.

  • Ballroom: Sono Speakers are hidden in the four corners of the room and are great for dinner background music. You will simply need to download the Sonos App (on your phone or tablet) and be on The Cookery’s wifi in order to access our Sonos System. These speakers are not powerful enough for dancing.

  • Garden: There are no outlets or any provided sound system. We highly recommend speaking with your DJ or band on providing a small set-up. Note: the nearest outlet my not be close by so you may need an extension cord!


Other Suggested Items to Rent

If you are having more than 200 guests at your event, you may need to rent additional tables and chairs. No problem! American Party Rentals is familiar with The Cookery's inventory and needs, and will be able to deliver matching rentals to The Cookery.  There may be other rentals you may want to consider - here are a few suggestions:

Dance floor & stage

Our polished concrete floor is not ideal for dancing, so if you are planning on having dancing at your event, a dance floor will need to be rented.

Fortunately American Party Rentals has dance floors that fit beautifully in our space! Dance floors are available for rent in 3’ x 3’ and 4' x 4' squares so the size can easily be altered depending on your dancing needs.

A stage can also be rented if you are planning to have live music. Stages for your band are optional.


Linens and tableware

When in comes to linen and tableware selections, there are countless choices!  

While you are more than welcome to rent linens and tableware from any other trusted linen rental company, delivery is easy when you work with American Party Rentals, with their special access to our space. Located in Durham, APR offers countless color, style, and texture options! (Plus is always easiest to get everything from one place!).

Mezzanine

Our mezzanine is a perfect place for a variety of unique settings, your guest count permitting.  You can use the mezzanine as:

  • a place to have your wedding ceremony

  • a cocktail lounge with furniture and cocktail tables

  • a "game room" with cards, checkers and other games

  • or put a photo booth upstairs, with props and other items for guests to use in their pictures!

Open-air marquee tent connects the Front Room and Ballroom in the Courtyard.

40' x 50' tent is from American Party Rentals, and fits wonderfully in our cobblestoned garden!

Make your entrance through our rolling garage door and host your ceremony outside in the courtyard!

Tenting the Courtyard or Garden

Giant rolling garage doors to allow your guests to enjoy our courtyard and garden!

When it comes to tenting, there are limitless options in decor, lighting and weatherproofing!  Tent accessories include:

  • walls

  • a myriad of heating options, including tent heaters, outdoor patio heaters, and unique copper patio heaters.

  • interested in air conditioning your tent during the hot summer months? The Cookery will facilitate tent AC rental - just contact us for details!

  • tent flooring

  • market lighting (large-bulb stringed lights)

  • chandeliers

  • pedestal lamps

  • and much more!

When considering outdoor dining and tenting options, please remember:

Tent requests require at least a 14 day notice of tent rental. If your tent request is within 14 days from your Event Date, CE or APR can check availability. They will coordinate the installation and removal of your tent directly with The Cookery team. 

A forecast of bad weather does not have to leave your guests in the elements!  American Party Rentals has a 30’ Toptec Marquee tent that provides a covered path for your guests as they pass from the Front Room to the Ballroom.  Sidewalls are also available!

For the kiddos

We do not have any high chairs or toddlers' chairs in our inventory - high chairs and non-folding chairs will need to be rented if you have small children attending your party.
