The First Look

One of our favorite moments of wedding days are first looks! On this June day, the groom waited to see his soon-to-be wife on our front room mezzanine. After gliding up the stairs, tapping her soon-to-be husband on the shoulder, and seeing his reaction as he turned to face her, the two shared some moments snapping pre-ceremony shots in The Cookery’s most picturesque spots before continuing the photography fun with their wedding party!

Make the Most of the Mezzanine

Our mezzanine overlooks the front room and is such a fun part of our venue to bring to life. It’s the perfect space for a photo booth, lounge furniture set, cocktail tables, or the sweetest first look moment!

Historic Qualities

Our ballroom is steeped in history – it used to be an auto body shop! Now these beautiful archways with sliding wooden doors reveal our dressing suite on the left and restrooms on the right!

Walking Down the Aisle

The ceremony details were beautifully set: a chili pepper boutonnière, whimsical florals hanging from a wooden arbor, and a tent to shade guests from the North Carolina summer sun. With nearly 200 people gathered to celebrate their love, this couple exchanged vows and were wed!

After the Kiss Bliss

Exploring our grounds & neighborhood is fun for *everyone* – our couples and their guests! The Cookery has several colorful outside murals and our flowing grounds expand over 12,000 square feet.

Joining the Party

After the ceremony, guests took advantage of the front room bar and got the party started. Soon, the newlyweds joined and shared hugs with friends and family before making their way to the dance floor. After their first dance and a father-daughter dance, the groom and his mother showed off with a choreographed dance, complete with hats and all!

Picture Perfect

Weddings are all about reuniting with old friends and meeting new best friends – and cocktail hours are the best place to get to talking. Our courtyard is nestled between our front room and ballroom, creating the perfect transition space between drinks & dinner to keep the conversations flowing.

Cheers to the Happy Couple

When these newlyweds danced into the ballroom, glasses were raised high and loved ones stood to celebrate. With drinks and conversations flowing, our ballroom was filled to the brim with delicious drinks and dinner, and a host of happy people!

Puppy Love

Make your beloved pet a part of your big day! This poster cut out is none other than Buster the Coonhound – the happy couple’s furry best friend.

Belly Laugh Backdrops

There are lots of moving parts during a wedding day and we’re here to help create smooth transitions! Between the ceremony and reception, this arbor was moved from the garden to sit as the backdrop to the couple’s dinner table. Our couples can enjoy their special day knowing their event timeline is being perfectly managed by our staff, their vendors, and their event planner!

Sweet Treats

If you thought this wedding couldn’t get any better – it just did. After dinner, Two Roosters’ vintage truck rolled into our courtyard for some seriously yummy dessert. What better way to cool off in the summer heat and kick the celebration to the next level than with some ice cream cones? These two really know how to throw a party!
